The highway to Volkswagen’s self-driving ambitions began in 2015, when it revealed its V-Charge project. The plan was for a Volkswagen e-Golf equipped with sensors and 3D maps to find open parking spaces in a storage and park without human enter. The firm suggests that there will be a prototype for demonstration out there within four years. Its heavy-truck unit, The Traton Group, acquired a minority stake in a self-driving truck company, TuSimple. Traton plans to equip its Scania vehicles with autonomous tech and check it on roads in Sweden, Germany, and different European international locations.
